Customer demand and industry recognition drives product line expansion and new packaging and merchandising options
BOULDER, Colo. - Thanasi Foods, a specialty foods company that develops and markets unique co-branded partnerships in packaged goods, has added three new flavors and a number of packaging and merchandising options to its line-up of Jim Beam snack foods.
In addition to the award winning Jim Beam Original and Barbeque Kentucky Bourbon Soaked Sunflower Seeds and Beef Jerky, Thanasi Foods has expanded the line to include Jim Beam Peppered Beef Jerky, Jim Beam Barbeque Beef Jerky and Jim Beam Jalapeño Sunflower Seeds.
"Jim Beam Beef Jerky was one of seven new products accepted for the prestigious workshop presentation at this year's North American Convenience Store (NACS) Conference. Many apply and only seven, including Thanasi Foods, Proctor & Gamble, Anheuser-Busch and Nestle USA, receive the honor of presenting," said Justin Havlick, president and CEO of Thanasi Foods. "This kind of market acceptance, as well as continued strong customer demand, prompted us introduce the new Jim Beam Jalapeño seeds, Peppered beef jerky and Barbeque beef jerky to the market."
With these additional flavors and the expanded package options, Thanasi Foods' Jim Beam product line now consists of the following 12 products:
Kentucky Bourbon Soaked Sunflower Seeds: available in 2.5 oz. and 5.15 oz. bags

Kentucky Bourbon Soaked Beef Jerky: available in 1.7 oz and 3.5 oz. bags

"The new packaging and merchandising materials, including shippers and clip strips, were developed to fit the needs of the customer as well as the more than 25,000 retail locations nationwide that carry one or more Thanasi products," said Havlick.
Thanasi Foods developed Jim Beam Kentucky Bourbon Soaked Sunflower Seeds and Beef Jerky using Jim Beam, the world's No. 1 bourbon, as a primary flavor component. The products are the first to bring the flavor of Jim Beam to the premium snack segment.
The Jim Beam Original Kentucky Bourbon snacks are soaked in Jim Beam in order to impart the unmistakable flavor of quality bourbon, giving the snacks a slightly-sweet and smoky flavor cue. While the world's No. 1 bourbon is a primary flavor component for the product, Jim Beam provides only a flavor element. Much like cooking with wine or beer, there is virtually no remaining alcohol content in the sunflower seeds or jerky.
